For all of my life but the past 1+ year, I would have chosen cats, in any form, over babies hands down. And still, even after having Ella, if someone presented me with a strange baby and a strange cat, I'll go to the baby out of a sense of propriety, but it will be the cat I'm really after.

Well a strange baby has a negative desire score as far as I'm concerned. At present the single compelling reason for me to want a baby, is to have my own, to mold in my own image. I'd at least need to start with the right seed stock.
